Get Directions to the Woodlands
The site lies approximately 1300 – 1350 feet above sea level and comprises 81 hectares of open space situated north of Beaufort and to the south of the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road between Ebbw Vale and Brynmawr.
Car Parking for disabled at the Highlands Road Entrance - travel along the A4047 Road through Beaufort Hill and turn into North Street or Chandlers Road, then Highlands Road.

DIRECTION SIGNPOSTS
Signposts have been erected to help visitors locate the woodlands site. The photo on the left shows the signpost at the junction of Beaufort Hill and North Street. There are additional signs at the top of North Street and the Highlands Road Entrance Car Park.

Access to the Woodlands site from the A465 H.O.V Road Lay-by
When the dualling of the A465 H.O.V road was completed in September 2015, paths were constructed enabling walking/ cycling access to local areas and Beaufort Hill Ponds & Woodlands can be accessed from the lay-by ( The Garnlydan Rest Area)
Information panels have also been erected here, informing visitors of local attractions, including directions for cyclists to access the Ebbw Fach Trail.
